Meet this week's maker, Mildred from Green Beginnings! Though Green Beginnings is only a hobby for Mildred, who works part-time in the medical field and is a full-time mom, her passion towards nurturing and caring for tropical plants is unparalleled. Her passion for plants started at a young age, and is now a passion she shares with her two young daughters.

What kind of products do you sell?
I sell a variety of houseplants in modern planters.
How did you get started?
I have always collected and grown tropical plants for my home. I grew up in a tropical country and my entire family are plant lovers. It’s part of our daily routine to take care and nurture our plants, even as a young child. My mother always asked me to water her big collection of orchids, among others. I started Green Beginnings as a hobby and enjoy sharing my passion about plants with others.
Why are you a maker?
Though I do it as a hobby, I love sharing my passion about growing tropical plants.
What inspires you?
On top of my love of plants, my memories with my family back home and taking care of our plants.
What is your favourite product that you sell?
I would say it would be the ZZ plants. Also, sansevierias, calatheas and succulents.

What is your most popular product?
The ZZ plant, along with parlor palms.
What's one fun fact that someone might not know about you?
I love to paint, and if I could be given a special talent, it would definitely be singing. I love to sing, but I'm not good at it!
