Sarah
If you’ve been to Markets Ontario in the past two years, chances are you’ve met owner and CEO Sarah. She started out as a maker herself, running Dream Day Cookies until the success of the brick and mortar Markets store made it too difficult to continue both businesses as once. The brains behind the store’s operations, Sarah loves everything about supporting local and is passionate about helping others like herself find success in a retail space.
Elaina
Elaina has been a part of the Markets Ontario family from the beginning – being Sarah’s sister and all. She first started working with Sarah, decorating cookies for her Dream Day Cookies business, later helping Sarah renovate and set up the Brooklin and eventually Bowmanville location, and now helping in the stores on cash and customer service. Outside of work, Elaine is dog mom to her new pup Nova and is a maker herself, creating handmade woodwork through Rustic E Woodwork.
Kelly
Kelly started in our Bowmanville location in the Summer of 2021. In the Fall of that same year, she also joined our Pickering location team. Having managed a corporate call centre for nearly 30 years, Kelly loves the excitement and hustle and bustle of our events. When Kelly is not working, you’ll find her in the kitchen making homemade dog treats, and sometimes some human ones too! As a recently “retired” dance mom (after 15 years), you’ll now find her chilling with her grown daughters, fur babies and hubby.
Mackenzie
Mackenzie joined the Markets team in the fall of 2021, jumping into the fun and excitement of the holiday season. She enjoys being part of the positive, creative and energetic atmosphere that Markets has established. Most of all, Mackenzie looks forward to the amazing events held by Markets and the town of Bowmanville. When she’s not at Markets, you can find Mackenzie teaching dance classes to students of all ages, baking, or spending time outdoors.
Lindsay
Lindsay joined the Markets team in February of 2023 as the Marketing & Client Relations Manager. She has a background in customer service, and website management, she is also a content creator on instagram. When she's not working, you'll likely find Lindsay with her family, out supporting local businesses, or curled up with a good book.
Ashley
Ashley is a professional graphic designer with more than ten years of industry experience specializing in the development of corporate and personal brand identities, as well as the design of print and digital publications. Ashley freelances regularly for Markets Ontario designing everything from website graphics and brochures to storefront mock-ups and more. Outside of her design work, she's a Mom of two and is obsessed with Halloween, classic rock and enjoying the warm, but short, summer months.
